What Is The Flexographic Printing Process

Flexography is a rotary printing process using ink as a means of transferring the printing medium, through photopolymer plates. Within the printing industry, flexographic printing is the field with one of the most dynamic developments.

Originally created for printing cardboard packaging, the flexographic process is currently used to print different packaging labels: foils, bags, sacks, containers, etc.

Compared to offset printing, the flexographic printing process is very versatile and involves lower costs; flexographic clichés can be made and used for any type of design. Due to the lower production cost and the reduced production time, labels can be printed in any amounts, which attracts all categories of consumers.

In flexography you can use special effects that are not available in offset: lamination, application of special colors, metal foil, screen printing, varnishing including peel and reveal labels and designs. UV treatment makes it possible to approach the performance of offset printing.

Labels printed using this process are high quality and suitable for use in the food industry, pharmaceutical industry, cosmetics industry and other fields, where the image of the product occupies a very important place.

What does the HD Flexo pattern mean for your products?

HD Flexo revolutionizes flexography by using digital plates, which minimizes the setup process and offers the highest resolution available. Color consistency is ensured throughout the printing process and the repeat work, as all digital settings are stored in a database.
