When Peel and Reveal Labels Shouldn’t Be Used

When Peel Back Labels Should Be Used

It’s no surprise that peel back labels have become very popular in recent years. If you’re considering them for your products, however, it’s important to understand what these labels can and can’t do, and to avoid using them for purposes they were not designed for.

Peel and reveal labels are not a good idea to be used for products that require a large amount of information to be printed on the top label. In some cases, it’s necessary, as the information is required by law, or it might influence buyers to purchase the product more readily. The downside is that, if the top label is peeled off by mistake then the information is lost.

It’s also not a good idea to use peel and reveal labels to divide up information that should appear at the top. Although this strategy technically saves some of the data in case the top layer is peeled off by mistake, it can still lead to confusion and difficulty among possible buyers who want to find out more about the product.

The best uses for peel and reveal labels is to showcase promotional information and graphics without taking up too much space and to act as an organized way to convey information about a product between stages of production at a factory. These uses are the most common, although some manufacturers have found other creative uses as well.
